Background
A native of Nebraska, I have lived in Michigan, Minnesota, and currently make my home in West Liberty, West Virginia. I channel my passion for art and fine craft through painting, pottery, designing, sewing and sculpting, bringing my creative visions to life using a variety of mediums.
My artistic process is rooted in experimentation and play, embracing unconventional materials and techniques. I draw inspiration from sustainability and the well-being of our planet and its creatures. Through my work, I aim to spark joy along with meaningful conversations and foster a deeper connection to the world around us.
My fine craft has been juried into the American Craft Council shows in St. Paul and Baltimore, the Buyers Market of American Craft in Philadelphia, and the American Craft Retail Association in Las Vegas.
With a Ph.D. in communication and over 15 years dedicated to academia, my journey has been one of constant growth and exploration. Holding roles as both a tenured faculty member and university communications administrator, I've recently honed my expertise in retention strategies, ensuring student success and engagement.
